Annual Events

Jurien Bay District High School

Bookweek

Jurien Bay District High School celebrates Book Week annually by holding a range of book related activities throughout the week, including a dress up day where staff and children are encouraged to dress up as their favourite book character.

ANZAC Service

Jurien Bay District High School commemorates ANZAC Day with an ANZAC service to remember the courage and sacrifice of those that have fought and died in war. Each class participates by making a wreath that is laid during the ceremony and the school choir sings. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend the ANZAC service.

Cross Country

The school and district cross-country competitions are usually held in Term Two and Three annually. Students are encouraged through regular training sessions to develop strength and stamina in the lead-up to the events.

Swimming Lessons

Swimming lessons are a vital part of our physical education and health and safety programs. All primary students participate in swimming lessons annually. These are organised by the school and are held at the beach near the jetty, just near Dobbyn Park.

Athletics Carnival

The school athletic carnival is held annually in Term Three. All students train for a wide range of sporting activities and participate in a running race and team event/s on the carnival day. Students may then be selected to participate in the Interschool Athletics Carnival.
