Jurien Bay District High School embraces diversity, and provides quality teaching and learning programs to provide opportunities for students to develop the necessary skills for their future learning and life.
Jurien Bay has adopted 3 core values that underpin our school code of conduct. To achieve our personal best at school, we need to display:

Jurien Bay DHS is situated in the Shire of Dandaragan, located 265 kilometres north of Perth and 200 kilometres south of Geraldton. The Shire has a motto of “Bush to Beach within your reach”, this motto very aptly describes Jurien Bay. The town site of Cervantes is situated 20 minutes south and Leeman is 30 minutes to the north. If you travel inland from the coast you will find farmland and natural parks within 20 minutes. Thus the motto “Bush to Beach within your reach.” The town site of Jurien Bay has a population of approximately 1900.
Jurien Bay District High School student population currently has 326 children from Kindergarten to Year 12. This is led by School Captains and Student Councillors.
There is a broad range of experience and expertise across the staff in each of the curriculum learning areas. Teachers are committed to providing for the individual progress of every child within the ethos and philosophy of our school.
In addition to teaching staff we have non-teaching roles including a Principal, Deputy Principals, Manager of Corporate Services, School Officers, Education Assistants, Library Officer, Gardener/Handyperson and Cleaners.

Jurien Bay District High School’s Board consists of staff, parents and community members. The School Board is involved in regular meetings and decisions making processes designed to benefit the school.

The Jurien Bay District High School uniform is worn with pride, builds school spirit and creates unity and equity amongst students.
The school colours are red shirts, jumpers and jackets with the school logo and royal or navy blue shorts, skirts and pants.
Students are required to wear enclosed shoes for their safety and to be able to fully participate in all school activities.
Hats are compulsory for all children when outside.
All school uniform items are available through Lowes in Lakeside Joondalup Shopping Centre – 9301 4016.
Jurien Bay District High School aims to provide a supportive environment for students to develop relevant skills, knowledge, attitudes and values that maximise individual potential in a global society. We foster a shared relationship with our community and encourage community input and support. As a government school we foster and implement policies, frameworks and procedures of the Education Department of Western Australia. In addition to these policies we have a number of policies that are designed to meet the needs of Jurien Bay District High School and encourage parents and prospective parents or staff to view our policies for your own information and reference.
